Florence Vacations: Learn The Public Transport System

Are you finally ready to take the vacation of a lifetime? Whether you have been thinking about this moment for the last ten years or the last ten days, it is important to make sure that you are taking the time to make sure that you are planning everything out just as well as possible.

There is a lot to do and see in Florence but you want to make sure that you are not only planning the fun stuff. While all that may be important, you have to start considering just how you are going to get around to all of the things that you want to see and do while in Florence.

Sure, you might just jump on some form of public transportation. But what kind? Where will you find it? How much will it cost? Are there are important details you are missing out on? You are not going to know the answer to all of these questions until you take just a few minutes out of your day to learn everything you can.

Also, you are going to want to keep thinking about Florence transport when you are working on deciding just where you are going to stay during the duration of your vacation. If you are not staying with a friend or family member from Budapest, you are going to want to think about some good options.

As you start to learn about all of the different options for public transport in Budapest, you are going to want to think about booking a place nearby. The best option for you will probably be a Florence apartment as you will be able to get right up close to where all the action is. This also means that you are not going to have to walk very far from the place you are staying to the public transport system. This will save you time, energy and a lot of frustration.

As far as the public transportation itself, you have a few options. There is a train that runs through Florence and it's central station goes by the name of Santa Maria Novella. You will find this is the upper northwest corner of beautiful central Florence. They have trains going to Milan, Naples, Venice, Bologna and Rome all of the time. In fact, you can usually find trains leaving about every hour.

You will also find taxi services in Florence. The thing is though, you cannot hail a taxi. You have to call the company and have come pick you up or find a taxi stand to grab a ride. The taxi stands can usually be easily spotted in the center of the town. There are also plenty of local bus services that are around. You can pick up the tickets for these at just about any newspaper or tabaccheria stand. The buses usually depart roughly every hour as well.

As you can clearly see, there are many options for traveling around Florence. You are going to want to make sure that you are checking them out as far as how convenient they will be for you and as for how much the services cost. Because you want to make sure that you are saving as much money as possible, you will want to compare the standard rates before you leave home and take off for Florence. Trying to figure that out while in the middle of a vacation can end up becoming a little confusing.

Remember too, that if you are selecting a vacation apartment that is near public transport options, you will save even more money. You will also be able to have a more enjoyable time because you will not have to worry about getting tired everyday as you walk extremely long distances to and from where you are staying. Just plan ahead and be glad that you did. You will truly be able to enjoy Florence for all that it has to offer!
